If you're looking for one of the best hidden gem cafés in the North East, The Indian Snack Box Cafe in Shiremoor needs to be on your list. Serving Indian-inspired breakfasts, kathi rolls, toasties, eggy bread, speciality coffees and more, this café delivers incredible flavour, outstanding customer service and excellent value for money. On my latest visit for Rated by Richie, I sampled three of their most popular menu items, and it's safe to say I was seriously impressed. Chicken Tikka Toastie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Chicken Tikka Toastie was packed with juicy, perfectly seasoned chicken tikka and melted cheese, toasted until golden and served alongside cheese crisps. Every bite was full of flavour, making this one of the best toasties I've had in Newcastle. Chicken Tikka Kathi Roll ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The standout item for me was the Chicken Tikka Kathi Roll. Fresh paratha bread wrapped around chicken tikka, omelette, fresh salad and their homemade sauces created an incredible combination of textures and flavours. It was filling, fresh and absolutely delicious. Iced Coffee Latte ☕ To finish, I tried the Iced Coffee Latte. Smooth, refreshing and well-balanced, it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal and completed the experience perfectly. Customer Service & Cleanliness The team at The Indian Snack Box Cafe were friendly, welcoming and passionate about their food. From the moment we walked in, we were looked after brilliantly. The café itself was spotless, with a clean and modern environment that reflects the pride they take in their business.
